About Me

My preferred name is Rowan Willow Winters or just Rowan, it's my chosen Wiccan name, not my birth name, but I did stick to my father's tree theme.

I have been writing and making up stories, sometimes to get myself to fall asleep, ever since I can remember. My first and favourite author growing up was Terry Brooks and he cemented my love for witty dialogue and prose.I am a digital artist and freelance copy editor located in the state of Wisconsin, USA.

I am a practising, queer (pansexual for those interested), Wiccan and currently am engaged to be handfasted to my partner.

We have two cats, Henry (a vocal, anxious, cranky old man) who is sixteen and Mishka (a rotund chonk of a classic tabby cat with a shorter than usual tail) who is around five or six.

Education

I have a B.A. in English from George Mason University with a special concentration in Media Studies and graduated with a 3.0 in my area of study.I worked as a Copy Editor at The Broadside for a semester and have a sharp eye for those nasty typos that crop up from time to time.
